APM: Automated parcel machines

In the context of Out-of-Home (OOH) deliveries and PostNord's last-mile network, an Automated Parcel Machine (also known as Parcel Lockers) represents an integral component of the delivery infrastructure. These machines are strategically located at accessible and convenient locations within urban and suburban areas, serving as pickup and drop-off points for parcels.

APMs provide customers with a flexible alternative to traditional home delivery, allowing them to retrieve their parcels at their preferred time and location. By leveraging the APM network, we are able to optimize last-mile delivery operations, alleviating the challenges associated with delivering parcels directly to individual residences.

Customers can select a nearby APM location as their delivery destination during the checkout process. Once the parcel arrives at the designated APM, the recipient receives a notification containing a unique pickup code or QR code. With this code, the recipient can access the APM at their convenience, typically within a specified timeframe.

At the APM, users authenticate themselves using the provided code, allowing them to access their parcel securely. The machine dispenses the parcel after verification, ensuring a convenient pickup experience. Additionally, customers can also use APMs for returning items, further enhancing the convenience and flexibility of the delivery process.

Our APM network plays a vital role in optimizing last-mile delivery operations, reducing delivery times, and increasing customer satisfaction. By providing convenient pickup and drop-off locations, APMs offer a customer-centric solution that caters to the evolving needs of modern e-commerce and logistics.
