Spain

Incident: Scheduled technological intervention
Correos y Telégrafos informs that a scheduled technological intervention concerning electronic messaging is taking place from 18.00 (CET) on Saturday, 1 February to 6.00 (CET) on Sunday, 2 February 2025.
During this period, outbound messages generated by Correos y Telégrafos will not be processed, so there may be delays in the transmission of EMSEVT messages.
Correos y Telégrafos apologizes for any inconvenience and will provide further updates if necessary.
Russian Federation

Incident: Changes to customs procedures – ban on livestock products
Russian Post informs that the country’s Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Supervision has imposed a ban on all livestock products subject to state veterinary supervision obtained from terrestrial animals susceptible to foot-and-mouth disease, transported from the territory of the European Union (EU) to the Russian Federation, including the transit of such goods through Russian territory to third countries, from 20 January 2025.
The duration of the ban is not defined.
The ban also applies to livestock products (unprocessed and processed meat products, dairy products, feed and feed additives, etc.) sent in international postal items, whether to individuals or to legal entities. International postal items with food products from the EU will be returned by customs authorities to the countries of dispatch.
In accordance with article 19.1.3 of the UPU Convention, details of goods subject to prohibitions and restrictions in the Russian Federation can be found in in the country-specific list of prohibited articles (www.upu.int/en/Postal-Solutions/Programmes-Services/Postal-Supply-Chain/Customs). If such items are received, they will be deemed wrongly admitted under Convention article 19.1.1 and will be treated in accordance with national legislation.
Italy

Incident: Strike
Poste Italiane informs that certain Italian unions have confirmed a 24-hour strike, commencing at 00.01 CET (UTC+1) on 5 February 2025. The strike will involve handling companies and, consequently, there is a risk of delays and disruption to airport services.
Mitigation measures will be taken at Poste Italiane facilities.
